Our Impact

Maydm programs caught my attention because of the STEM focus I knew my kids were interested in. Maydm quickly became much more than academics, especially for my daughter. As she learned the academic material, Maydm also gave her confidence and a voice. Both my daughter and son have joined the Maydm tribe. Maydm is not just a program for my children. It has also been a community for them. Participating in Maydm has afforded them opportunities to attend professional sporting events, enroll in summer college camps, have paid summer internships, and have developed them professionally and academically. Other kids should join Maydm because it is a life-changing, positive experience for kids. The instructors and staff genuinely care about the students and provide opportunities the kids are interested in, and that will help them in their academic and professional journey.

I first learned about Maydm back in 2015 or 2016. Over the following years, I've volunteered in a variety of ways, and I've been a recurring donor for the last three. I love the recurring donation option because it all happens automatically and makes it easier for me (and Maydm!) to budget. Our community owes a lot of our success to the tech economy; for Madison to truly thrive, EVERYONE needs to have access to those accompanying jobs and resources, and programs like Maydm are integral toward reaching this goal. I love knowing that my monthly donation helps support girls and youth of color in learning STEM skills in supportive environments that empower them to grow.

I just want to say how much I appreciate Maydm! Aria has made so many lasting friendships from her STEMinism camps these past two years!!! She keeps in touch with a couple of girls from there, even one that moved out of state. I also really think it’s helped improve her confidence to try new things. I’m a nurse and work with teens and families and always recommend your programs, after-school programming, etc. Thank you so much Maydm, you’ve made such a positive impact on Aria! We really appreciate the work you do!
