MAYDM RECEIVES $50,000 GRANT FROM OTTO BREMER TRUST

Madison, WI – February 15, 2024 – Maydm, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing girls and youth of color with the skills, experiences, and connections to pursue careers in and change the face of STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics), is pleased to announce it has received a $50,000 grant from the Otto Bremer Trust. This generous grant will provide general funding which is integral to Maydm to help maintain stability as an organization. They will use this funding to add two new immersive programs, maintain staff support, build staff capacity, provide afterschool support to youth, grow partnerships in the community, and grow their internship program to accommodate more students and internship hosts. 

"We are thrilled to receive this grant from the Otto Bremer Trust," said Dr. Christina Outlay, Executive Director of Maydm. "This is the second year that we’ve been able to receive a gift from the Otto Bremer Trust, which is incredibly important to us as an organization to allow us to expand our reach and impact on the youth in our community. This year, we aim to reach 1,200 students; expand our internship program through our Career Exploration initiative; and increase year-long programming for consistent reach. We wouldn’t be able to accomplish our goals without the support of the Otto Bremer Trust.”
